EVERYONE (Participants, Instructors, Volunteers, and those just there for the party) MUST CHECK IN at the gazebo.
Optional CPR/AED: ACA Instructor Trainer, Tom Burroughs has agreed to lead an optional CPR/AED certification class on Friday afternoon upstairs at the Turner Bend store from 3 - 5 pm. This class is free for any ACC member and $40.00 for non ACC members. ACA Instructors needing CPR certification get priority. The school officially begins at 7:00 PM Friday at the Gazebo with a meeting of the whole school. After the meeting, you will break into classes and meet with your instructors.
New this year, the Central Chapter of the ACC will get the day started with an optional breakfast Saturday morning from 6:30 - 8:00 AM at the Gazebo. Cost $7.00.
Students will then have instruction on both land and on the water during the day. Instructors will set the meeting time and place for Saturday morning.
Saturday early evening a Fried Fish Dinner for $10 is sponsored by the NW chapter of the ACC (prior to the
general ACC business meeting).
Enjoy fried catfish, chicken tenders, coleslaw, beans, and hushpuppies after your day on the water!
The Fish Fry will be on the east (gazebo) side of Turner Bend to allow a better venue for live music from about 4:45 PM to 6:45 PM.
Bring your camp chair and your favorite beverage, grab a plate of catfish and enjoy the sounds of the Little Buffalo River Band.
Saturday at 7:00 PM we will draw for some spectacular prizes. Everyone is eligible but you must have registered your presence at the event.
Afterward, the Arkansas Canoe Club's General Business Meeting and election of officers will be held at the gazebo. This meeting is open to everyone and you are encouraged to attend!
SUNDAYFrom 6:30 to 8:00 AM, the River Valley chapter of the ACC will provide a pancake breakfast at the Gazebo for $7. Pancakes, sausage, orange juice and fresh coffee will prep you for your second day on the water! The remainder of Sunday is spent with further instruction, with the school ending by 5:00 PM.
