The mission of the Education Committee is to advocate and guide the development of active, high quality Safety, Education, and Instruction Programs within the Club.
The Board of Directors of the Arkansas Canoe Club on November 6, 1999 created the Education Committee as a standing advisory to the Board. Committee members are appointed and removed by the Board of Directors. Membership of the Education Committee may include BOD members and non-BOD members. The formation of this standing advisory committee did not create or change Board of Director membership.

At their meeting February 17, 2007, the Board of Directors approved a motion to add the Education Committee as an official committee in the By-Laws and that the committee Chair would serve on the Board. The motion was adopted by the membership at the General Meeting in Whitewater Paddling School on May 5, 2007. Kim Tucker is the current Chair of Education Committee as of May 2007.
